National Skill Development Mission’, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana’ (PMKVY), unveiled National Skill Development and entrepreneurship Policy 2015, besides a slew of other initiatives being taken by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
On the same lines, Government of Andhra Pradesh initiated Skill Development Program through APSSDC (Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation), which is working in cooperation with Ministry of Higher Education (APSCHE). APSSDC works towards tackling the shortage of skilled workforce in various sectors. As technology evolves, both curriculum and methodology of teaching need to be evolved. Specifically, in the Indian Context, expertise in this sector is to be found in the industry.
